The NFL Draft is officially in the past and 2026 mocks are starting to come out (degenerates). The rookie hype pieces are all over the place, and every dynasty GM worth their Discord invite is either victory-lapping or rage-dropping fourth-stringers.

For the rest of us, it’s “stock watch” season—time to sift through the rubble, spot the land-mine depth-chart moves, and lock in the unsexy vets who somehow refuse to die (looking at you, Cody Barton).

We’re talking IDPs. The linebackers who lucked into triple-digit tackles, the safeties now living in the box like squatters, and the edge rushers whose snap shares just went from part-time to paycheck.

So let’s take a look at the IDP winners and losers in the AFC after the 2025 NFL Draft.

Winners

Cody Barton, LB, Tennessee Titans

You keep wondering, “How?” does he keep managing to survive. Like the reboot of “The Crow”, nobody asked for it, but here it is.

Cody Barton was somehow IDP relevant in 2024 thanks to an Alex Singleton torn ACL. He managed to maintain a three-down role despite a 63.7 PFF grade and record 106 tackles.

He found himself in free agency and scooped by Tennessee, and like The Rock, we say “Finally!” we don’t have to pay attention to him in IDP. Then the Titans say, “hold my beer” and trade Kenneth Murray to the Cowboys.

The NFL Draft came and went, the Titans didn’t address the LB position, so as of now, Barton survives an offseason with very little competition for a three-down role and the green dot.

Barton is on the radar as an LB2/3 with a his projected snap volume. He doesn’t get man solo tackles, but he’s a dependable LB and you know what you’re getting with him. Like a Fast and Furious movies, nobody asked for him, the plot makes no sense, but somehow—he’s still starting in Week 1.
