IDP Fantasy Football: Top 75 IDP Rookie Rankings 2025
A look at the IDP rookie rankings now that the landing spots have been determined
One name that you’ll see conspicuous by his absence—Travis Hunter. I figure he’s going to be primarily a WR. I’m not sure how many leagues will actually count his IDP stats, outside of IDP leagues. With standard fantasy leagues still being the majority, I’m keeping him off my ranks. I know what the next question is going to be:
“Mike, if you were to rank him, where would you have him?”
If I were to rank/tier him, I’d have him in Tier 2, probably as my #2 IDP. Now, if you view him as a Tier 1, or you think he’s going to score well in your league, have at him as your top overall IDP.
So, now that the 2025 NFL Draft has wrapped, and dynasty managers are now racing to adjust their boards for rookie drafts. With landing spots secured and draft capital established, it's time to evaluate how these defensive prospects translate to IDP fantasy football value.
Here are my rankings for this year’s rookie class, broken into ranks/tiers/favorite targets as you prepare for your rookie drafts. Ranks will update throughout the offseason as news updates regarding any updates on roles or usage.
Here’s more of my IDP content as you prepare for the 2025 fantasy season:
Although he had one year as a full-time starter, Carson Schwesinger is my LB1 and top IDP overall. His tape was impressive and he showed plus processing and sideline-to-sideline range.
I will say, the landing spot at 33rd to Cleveland was a surprise, but I think he enters into a good situation with Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah’s career up in the air, and Jordan Hicks getting up in age. Schwes can step in as the green dot (which he was at UCLA) and I think is a great fit in Jim Schwartz’s defense.
He’s a fluid athlete and boasts incendiary sideline-to-sideline range and shuts down your play before you even have a chance to blink. Even with his limited experience, he has sharp instincts and recognition.
