I won’t go too deep on cornerbacks in this one, but if you’re craving matchup-level analysis, check out The Cornerback Corner.
Alright, enough preamble. Let’s dive into the Week 14 matchups.
Dallas Cowboys vs. Detroit Lions
The only edge rusher I’m interested in is Donovan Ezeiruaku, but he’s not a must start. Over the last three weeks, he has just 6 pressures, but a 19% win rate. On the year, he’s second among edge rushers in pressures, he just needs to finish his pressures, as he has 11 QB hits. Taylor Decker has been a solid LT, and has allowed 2 sacks all year.
Quinnen Williams should line up over Tate Ratledge this week. Since arriving in Dallas, Williams has 9 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and 5 QB hits. Ratledge has a 46.1 pass block grade and has allowed 2 sacks and 7 QB hits. Williams is a DT1 in true position/DT-required leagues.
I think Demarvion Overshown is the only off-ball LB I trust. His snaps have ramped up, and is coming off a 70% snap rate in Dallas’s nickel last week. The Lions have been a top offense to play LBs against. They’re allowing 18 tackles/gm to opposing LBs.
I think you can find more productive DB streamers than the Dallas defensive backs.
Terence Steele is allowing a 7% pressure rate this season, and Aidan Hutchinson should line up on his side of the field. Hutch leads the NFL in pressures (71) and is producing a 16.3% pressure rate this season.
Jack Campbell is on pace for 156 tackles and has 34 tackles over his last three games with 2 TFLs. The Cowboys are allowing 17.3 tackles to the LB position over the last three weeks.
Brian Branch is coming off a 10 tackle game in Week 13 and is facing a Cowboys’ offense allowing nearly 15 tackles/gm to the safety position over the last three weeks.
Terrion Arnold was placed on IR. DJ Reed is an interesting CB streamer against. the team giving up the most tackles/gm (15.4) to the CB position.
